What is 'popcorn' bidding?

'Popcorn' bidding is a style of auctions whereby if a bid is received within the final three minutes before a lot closes, that lot end time is extended by another three minutes. 

All of our non-sealed auctions are 'popcorn' style to prevent 'sniping' and to provide every participant with the best opportunity to win.
